Notes: Fr. William R. Savord worked in the San Diego diocese for nearly three decades before starting work in the Diocese of San Bernardino after it was established in 1978. After only a few years in San Bernardino, Fr. Savord was removed from active priesthood without privileges and sent for treatment at the Paraclete Center, an institution known for treating clergy accused of child sexual abuse. According to the Diocese of San Diego, Fr. Savord left the priesthood in 1990. Fr. Savord was included in the Diocese of San Diego’s list of priests where the Diocese has received a credible allegation involving sexual abuse of a minor. His whereabouts and whether he had access to children from 1988 to his death in 2004 are unknown.
