Notes: After 25 years of working as a priest, in 2014, Fr. Robert Gamel was put under investigation for “internet related sex crimes” and subsequently placed on administrative leave. A few months following the start of the investigation, Fr. Gamel was reportedly removed and transferred to another location where he ministered to senior citizens. Over a year after the investigation first began, Fr. Gamel was formally charged with possession of child pornography. A few months later, Fr. Gamel pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 11 months in county jail and four years of probation. Less than six months after being released from jail, Fr. Gamel was charged with possession of child pornography with a prior conviction. Fr. Gamel pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced to four years in state prison, where he reportedly remains. His status as a priest is unknown.
