Notes: According to the Diocese of San Bernardino, Fr. John Haberthier worked at St. Francis de Sales in Riverside from 1979 to 1980 and Our Lady of the Valley in Hemet from 1982 to 1987. Fr. Haberthier was first accused of sexual abuse in a 2006 announcement by the Diocese of Dodge City. The Diocesan Review Board conducted an investigation and found the allegation to be credible. Fr. Haberthier also allegedly abused a child in 1973 in Whittier, California. Fr. Haberthier was included in the Diocese of San Bernardino’s list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. His whereabouts and whether he had access to children from approximately 1999 until his death in 2009 are unknown.
