Notes: A 2003 lawsuit accused Fr. George A. Gunst of child sexual abuse. He allegedly sexually abused a girl in 1955 while working at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Nativity Catholic Church in El Monte. Fr. Gunst was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Records produced in connection with the Archdiocese’s Report to the People of God: Clergy Sexual Abuse Archdiocese of Los Angeles 1930- 2003, indicate that Fr. Gunst worked as an Assistant at St. Anne in Santa Ana, California in 1969.
