Notes: A civil lawsuit filed in 2011 accused Fr. Don Flickinger of sexually abusing a young boy at St. Paul Catholic Parish and School in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. According to the lawsuit, Fr. Flickinger had a history of sexual misconduct stretching back 40 years, and three dioceses—Fresno, San Jose, and San Francisco—were aware of Fr. Flickinger’s misconduct but failed to take action. Two additional lawsuits related to child sexual abuse have named Fr. Flickinger. All three cases were settled in 2013. Fr. Flickinger is retired and, as of 2013, is believed to be living in the Diocese of San Jose.
