Notes: Fr. Carlos Rodriguez is a member of the Vincentian religious order who reportedly had assignments in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Diocese of San Bernardino. Fr. Rodriguez has been accused by at least six people of child sexual abuse from 1984 to 1994 and has been named in at least five civil lawsuits. In 1987, Fr. Rodriguez confessed to sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy. In 1988, Fr. Rodriguez was sent to St. Luke Institute, an institution known for treating priests accused of child sexual abuse. In 1993, Fr. Rodriguez left the Vincentian community and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles removed his faculties as a priest. He was laicized in 1998. In 2004, Fr. Rodriguez was convicted of sexual abusing two boys while working at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula in the 1990s and was sentenced to eight years in prison. In January 2008, Fr. Rodriguez was released from prison on parole. As of 2013, Fr. Rodriguez was believed to be residing at a private residence in Huntington Beach and registered as a sex offender in California. In 2016, Rodriguez was found ministering at a church in Los Angeles with no affiliation to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles; he was using the name Carlos Ramirez. Fr. Rodriguez was removed after the church found out about his history. In a lawsuit filed in October 2018, Fr. Rodriguez was accused of sexually abusing two minor boys at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in Riverside in the 1990s. The lawsuit alleged that Fr. Rodriguez was working at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Riverside in the early 1990s. Fr. Rodriguez was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Fr. Rodriguez’ current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
