Notes: Br. John Verhart was a member of the Salesian religious order. He has been accused of sexually abusing at least one child. Br. Verhart has been named in two civil lawsuits alleging child sex abuse that occurred in approximately 1956 to 1958 at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower. Br. Verhart was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. His clerical status, current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
