Notes: Br. Joe Sharkey is a member of the Servite religious order. He has been accused of sexually abusing at least one child. Br. Sharkey was named in a civil lawsuit which alleged that he sexually abused a child in approximately 1967 to 1968. He was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of clergy accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Br. Sharkey’s clerical status, current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
