Notes: According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Fr. Daley stands accused of sexually abusing six children from approximately 1957 to 1963. Fr. Daley was excardinated from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles but remained active in the Diocese of Orange, the Diocese of Baja, and several other locations. Fr. Daley was named in at least one civil suit that settled in 2006. Per his priest file released by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, his career as a priest included many sporadic assignments and leaves. Before the Diocese of Orange split from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Fr. Daley was listed in The Official Catholic Directory as being in charge of the small parish in the Delhi barrio. Upon the split, Fr. Daley was not listed in the 1977 Official Catholic Directory, but was later listed as “On duty outside the diocese,” a designation commonly used as a euphemism for pedophile priests who were exiled to poorer parishes somewhere in the world. In Fr. Daley’s case, his personnel file states that he was located near El Rosario, approximately 200 miles from Baja, until he resurfaced briefly in the Diocese of Orange in approximately 1989. Fr. Daley was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Fr. Daley’s whereabouts and access to children from approximately 1990 until his death in 2000 are unknown.
