Notes: Fr. John J. Hurley was ordained in Ireland in 1928 for the Diocese of Los Angeles and Diocese of San Diego. At least one survivor has come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Fr. Hurley, in approximately 1949, while he worked at Our Lady of the Valley in Canoga Park, California. In 2003, he was named in a civil lawsuit. Fr. Hurley was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors.
