Raymond P. Boucher is a partner of Boucher LLP. Boucher is well-regarded in the legal community as the tenacious lawyer who went to battle for years with the Roman Catholic Church on behalf of survivors of childhood sexual abuse by Clergy members, and in 2007, secured a landmark settlement of $660 million against the Los Angeles Archdiocese.
The settlement was one of over a dozen settlements involving sexual abuse of minors by members of the church. Between 2002 and 2008 Boucher helped secure over $1,200,000 in settlements. But Boucher didn’t stop there.
Between 2007 and 2014, Boucher made good on a promise to the survivors to ensure the release to the public of secret church records that demonstrated that senior church leaders not only knew of abuse, but had worked together to hide the abuse and shelter the abusers.
