Notes: Fr. Emmett Schaller was member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate religious order. Fr. Schaller has been accused by at least one person of child sexual abuse. Fr. Schaller was named in at least one civil lawsuit alleging child sexual abuse that occurred in approximately 1979 to 1982 while Fr. Schaller worked at St. Ferdinand in San Fernando. Fr. Schaller’s priest file indicates that he had received extensive treatment, during which he admitted that he had been in trouble due to his sexual behavior. Fr. Schaller was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. Since 1981, Fr. Schaller’s whereabouts, his status as a priest, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
