Notes: Fr. Dominic Savino was a member of the Carmelites religious order. Fr. Savino has been accused by at least eight people of child sexual abuse. Fr. Savino has been named in three civil lawsuits alleging child sexual abuse from approximately 1977 to 1980. Before Fr. Savino arrived in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he worked at De Sales High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and is believed to have sexually abused at least five children there as well. In 2002, a mother called the Archdiocese of Los Angeles hotline alleging that Fr. Savino “mistreated” her twin sons in the 1970s while they were students at Crespi Carmelite High School. After these allegations surfaced, Fr. Savino was removed from his position as President at Crespi Carmelite High School. Fr. Savino was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. In 2017 it is believed Fr. Savino was residing in Sherman Oaks, CA. Fr. Savino’s current whereabouts, his status as a priest, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
